March Madness

From the title of that you'd think that we're really in to basketball around here. Well, surprisingly enough, neither one of us filled out a tournament bracket this year! I only do it because I enjoy beating Matt's picks, but I just didn't get around to it. Anyway, as the title suggests, March has been Madness! But, it's been wonderful madness. For my Spring Break, the first week of March, I flew with both kids to Michigan to visit my parents and Rob and Rachel.
It was fun to go sledding in all of the snow that delayed us for four hours in the Detroit airport - with two kids, running out of diapers, with no cell phone battery left! But well worth it as soon as we saw Grandma and Grandpop and got our hugs and kisses.

This is Matthew saying "CHEEEEESE!" whenever I reach for the camera.

We went to the Butterfly Gardens and the Children's Museum, but the most fun Matthew had was in Grandpop's bathtub.
I think Natalie's favorite was the Butterfly Museum! What do you think?
We also got to see my cousin, Betsy, and her kids Quincy, who's 9 months older than Matthew, and Annie, who's 1 month younger than Natalie.
I think that my parents enjoy spoiling their grandchildren. Here's a prime example...I hear some giggling and rustling in the pantry. Here's the look I got when I opened the door:
And I can't really blame Matthew, I mean, look who's behind it all:
Very fun memories of being in Michigan, thanks mom and dad!
The madness of March continued as soon as we returned home. My mid-semester grades were due. UGH! Thanks, Matt, for helping me grade tests.
Then we had Matt's mom and step-dad come for another round of much-needed hugs and kisses!
When Grammie and PopPop were here, we had a beautiful day to go to the park:

We had an Easter Egg Hunt; this one was hiding on Cookie Monster's lap:
Matthew got to practice his cheerleading moves (it was PopPop's idea, Matt!):

Much thanks to Grammie and PopPop for coming to see us, the trip to the toy store, grocery store, and a date night for Matt and I, we loved having you here!

Uncle Paul also came to town for a few days. Here's pretty much what his day looked like:
Just kidding, Paul. It was fun to have you here. Matt expressed how much he missed you after you left.

And last and NOT least, March continued by celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior on Easter. Here are the kiddies in their Easter gear. Both of the children's wardrobe supplied by Auntie Cari and Grandma. Many, many compliments on how cute they looked, but of course, that's not the real reason for Easter. I just thought I'd mention how cute they were/are! Matthew's trying to share his doughnut with Natalie:

By the way, the lighting in our basement makes Natalie's hair this color!
And March is not over yet. I'm doing a recruit/alumni weekend for cheerleading this weekend and Matt's recruiting is not done yet. What a fun, busy, blessed life we lead! Anyone else want to come and visit? As I said, March is not over yet!

Beck's-
I loved all the pictures and the play-by-play for the month of March. It looks like you truely had your own March "madness"! FYI- I fill out a bracket just to see if I can beat Rob, too. And in case you're wondering, amongst a group of 12 of us I'm currrently in 1st and he's 10th. I guess it just shows who knows more about basketball......um.....no.....I hate to say it but I think it's just luck.

Hey there Nadelfoffer... just saying how much I missed seeing you by about 2 days. BUMMER. Alls well in CO- doing tons of skiing and pretty much just hanging out (Oh, yeah, with work in between...). I'm enjoying my selfish, single life enough for each of you that has kids! Love you much. Maybe we can coordinate dates for the summer? (I filled out a bracket for the first time ever and I'm in 197th place. The Dykstra luck was not with me!)KLH

Love the blog! The pictures of the kids are adorable - sounds like you had a very fun and busy month. Great picture of Paul, too - perfect. We missed out on March Madness over here, but Markus is excited about the start of the baseball season. Thank heavens for our North American sports channel we get.
