Videos!

Matt brought home a video camera from the basketball office for me to borrow. It has been a lot of fun capturing some of these priceless moments in action. Natalie has a pretty unique style of getting from one place to another, she's very fast, but she looks a little silly. She has been taking a few steps on her own, too. She is very sturdy and just like Matthew, has great balance. As you can only imagine, it was a little difficult trying to get her to perform for the camera. She walks when she wants to walk and will crawl when it's easier for her to get there faster. She was pretty cooperative with me for this video, though. And not to leave out the big brother, he is the showman of the family. I could not include the first clip because as soon as I turned on the camera and started filming, he chose to pull down his diaper! So his clip is very short and goes out to all you Cubs fans & Eastern fans. I combined all of the clips together...

Matthew loves watching the videos that I took of "Sissy & Natalie." As he watches her clap and crawl, he laughs at the camera. They are both at a very fun, very busy stage in life. I enjoy watching Natalie grow and discover new things. It's been fun witnessing her determination to try to walk. Matthew is at the stage where he is starting to ask a lot of questions and saying hilarious things everyday. Matt and I are good kids, always have been, but we need to be extra-cautious of what we say because Matthew is such a sponge right now and anything that we say, could come out of his mouth days later. What he usually says are good things, like "please, thank-you, you're welcome." He's also surprised us with, "I see a robin, mom. Do you see it? He's singing praises to Jesus." The only naughty (but funny) thing that he said was after spending a weekend in NJ with some friends and their boys that taught Matthew the following...we have fun dancing with Matthew and singing, "Shake your body, shake your body" as we turn around and shake our boodies, (oh why am I sharing this?) well, Matthew came home from that weekend singing, "Shake your [male organ], shake your [male organ]!" After Matt and I picked our jaws up from the floor and stifle any outburst of laughter, we had him sing the correct version of that song. That was a few weeks ago, but he randomly came out with it just last night again. Oh yeah, that's another thing he's doing is testing boundaries.

The other day Matthew and I were driving past the elementary school where Matthew will attend in a few short years (let's not think about that yet) and I told him that's where the neighbors go to school. He said, "That's the ABCD House!" I couldn't have said it better myself.

Another fun story about Matthew and his adorable personality is when we had some good friends come to visit last Sunday. I got to meet their little Joshua, 2 months old, and loved holding him and watching him smile. Matthew wasn't too sure about mom holding this baby and said, "Put that baby down, ok?" well, when I couldn't stand to let go of holding Joshua and squeezing all of his chubby bits, Matthew tried another way saying, "Daddy can hold that baby now, ok?". It was cute. I "borrowed" this picture off of Jamie's blog (Joshua's mommy) and although you can't see Joshua's cute face, you can see the situation I was just describing. Thanks for visiting, Jamie and Ben, we'll miss you when you move, but I'll keep your blog on my favorites.

Last thing...Matthew calls buckets, "gupets". I love it.

I LOVE the video!! You guys must've been really good somewhere along the line to have been blessed with Matthew and Natalie.

We'll miss you guys when we move too...but if you come visit, I promise we'll babysit! And there will most likely be a Finger Lakes Wine Trail trip involved. :) Come on now...how can you pass that up?!

I LOVE your blog! It is so fun, and I DO look forward to every new entry. The pictures of the kids are adorable. Love the video of Matthew yelling "Stinks!", and of Natalie "walking." You yelling, "Oh, play along!" cracked me up. That's the Arseface I know and love...
