Thankful for Family

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Uncle Grammie, PopPop, Uncle Bryan, Uncle Gus and Uncle Christine. Yup. We're still in the phase of calling everyone, except PopPop, "Uncle." Matthew loved being smacked around by his big uncles and Natalie took a special liking to Bryan. She kept crawling on him trying to get closer to him. Grammie and PopPop provided non-stop entertainment for the kids. They even walked into Wayne to hit up the beloved "Gumdrops and Sprinkles" candy store that the kids love so much. Christine and I enjoyed getting away on Black Friday for 7.5 hours of power shopping!

Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. We kept talking about how someone needed to get a picture of the beautiful table that was set with all of my Christmas dishes, tablecoth and professionally-folded napkins, but no one did! If you've ever cooked a Thanksgiving meal you know that its a rush at the end with the carving of a 25-lb turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and brown-n-serve rolls all at once. That and the hot breath from family that is standing over you, hungrily wondering when dinner will be ready. I actually grabbed the camera after the dinner, but it looked like a pack of angry wolves attacked the table. I didn't want to save that image over the lovely picture I had in my head of how wonderful the table looked before the wolves sat down. Ha! I just put it together that Al and Nancy's last name is Wolff! I honestly didn't mean that the Wolff's sat down and tore it up, I was more speaking about the men at the table.
I realized that Libby inherited Matt's mischivious, crooked smile. So cute.

How lucky to have the family together to celebrate Thanksgiving - sounds like fun. You're right: Libby does have Matt's crooked smile. Let's hope she's not a trouble maker like her father! :)
