All of the pictures from Marco Island are on Matt's computer and that is always with him, so for now I'll just update on some silly things that the kids are saying and doing.
Natalie calls Matthew, "Man-ew" which is just too cute. She's quick to tell on him: Man-ew ouch!, or wake him up: Wake up, Man-ew, or tell him to stop doing something: Top it, Man-ew. She also likes to say "no" and that's just more for reaction. Like when Matt asks her for a kiss and she says "no" and then smiles so huge that her eyes disappear and her teeth jet out.
Matthew's latest thing is to either live his life in his pajama's or in his underwear. If he had his choice, he'd choose the buck while doing cartwheels around the house, blinding us with his death star. The pajama thing has been a struggle for a few weeks now. I mean, the kid has beautiful clothes and wants to hang out in his "monster pajama's" all day. No thanks.
Both of the kids love music, too. He watched some "Diego" and "Dora" down in Florida and knows both of the theme songs now. He has an incredible memory for songs. Grandma sang the kids songs before bedtime, songs that she used to sing to me, that I had forgotten about, and we were in the car trying to get the kids to sleep so we asked them what songs they wanted to sing. Matthew sweetly sang this entire song: Who made the mountains? who made the trees? who made the river flow through the seas? somebody BIGGER than you or me! and did all of the motions. Matt and I were both moved to tears. We immediately called Mom and Dad's house in GR (because they were still in Florida) and he sang the whole thing on their answering machine. Natalie loved "children, children" and instantly calmed down when I sang it to her as she was going to bed. It goes: Praise Him, Praise Him all ye little children, God is love, God is love. One night I put them to bed and went down in the basement. I could hear them on the monitor and she was saying, "songs, songs" and Matthew started singing to her! I mean, pictures can't do that memory justice for me. He sang the mountains song, the alphabet, and many others. I was astounded!
We were just eating dinner and Matthew said, "I just had to give Noodles my bread." And I said, "you had bread for lunch, you mean you gave Noodles your bread at lunch?" He said, "yeah." I said, "I thought you ate your whole lunch!" He said, "yeah, but Noodles was really hungry." I couldn't believe how matter-of-factly he said it, but I could see a twinkle of mischievousness in his eyes. Let the games begin!
The other day Matt asked Matthew to help him with something. Matthew said, "Sure! I just have to go scrape my face." Matt and I burst into laughter. He got this plastic shaving kit from Pop-Pop months ago, but has now begun to run it under water, put it to his face, and then proceed to wipe his face with a towel - all very methodically and seriously.
I'll share pictures when I get on Matt's computer. Hope you liked the stories.

I remember those songs! How wonderful to have those memories of your sweet little babies. I'm all teared up over here. :) But just to be clear...I'd like pictures too.
So sweet - I wish I lived closer and could watch Matthew and Natalie grow up. I'd love to hear the singing! And I like "Man-ew." When we were growing up we had a friend who called Scott "Stott." He'd always say, "Stop, Stott." :)
I love your stories, Rebecca! Thank you so much for sharing them. :) Tessa loves us to sing to her as well...haven't heard of the "mountain song" as of yet. Perhaps you could video tape Matthew singing it so we could all learn a "new" one. Love ya! Hope you're feeling well. :)
