The Big Nor'Easter Part Two

So after a hearty lunch and a nice long nap from the kids, it was time for sledding!!! My friends, Rachel and Adrienne (left to right in the photo), decided to venture out in this trecherous Nor'Easter from their apartment .8 miles away. They back-packed through the conditions and arrived at their destination in one piece...
So once we got the kids suited up, we headed out (Matt stayed home to take care of Libby who decided to wake up screaming as soon as I walked out of the house - not my problem).
How did we get to the big hill? We walked up the street. Natalie, bless her heart, needed to be pulled there, so Mommy, bless her heart, pulled her in the sled. Holy Burning Quads, Batman!
Here's a picture of Rachel and Matthew that shows the incline of the hill. Not unlike the climb Miley Cyrus takes (stay tuned for future Miley Cyrus reference that will make sense).

Walking to the park, the snow got so deep in areas, that we had to carry the kids and help them through it.

Here's a shot of the hill we went sledding down. The woman laughing in the foreground is my next-door neighbor, Kelly.
Since our kids are not used to sledding, Rachel was kind enough to volunteer to be the first one down the hill to show the kids how fun it was. This is her saying, "Don't push me!". So I did.
And there she goes, complete with snow spray in her face!
Here I am sending my babies down the hill all by themselves. My heart was racing!
There they go!There's the little munchkins all on their own! Then Matthew braved it on his own. He went down the hill really fast and his sled stopped, but he kept going. He was giggling the whole time - notice the boot coming off!

Here's me chasing after the sled when Natalie said she wanted to push Rachel and Matthew down but didn't let go! She got snow all down her snowpants. Too funny.
Then the three of us decided to squeeze on a sled together. Ya' know how "the lighter the kid, the faster they go down the hill"? We had a nice slow ride down the hill.
When we got back to the house, we had to build a snow cave that turned into a snow tunnel. "Holla" to Cousin Kristy! for the suggestion.
So the best part of coming home is when they strip down to dance to Miley Cyrus. This is a daily occurance...Enjoy.

Matthew & Natalie's strip down dance is pure awesomeness. I giggled through the entire thing. :)
